Today, even when WORLD is eyeing for a complete digital economy, the challenges remain. Last mile financial connectivity and financial inclusion still pose a significant challenge to the overall financial ecosystem for digitally unbanked & underserved rural population due to low financial literacy and lack of a robust internet infrastructure.
Existing solutions miss the key driving factors for adoption, especially EXPERIENCE which found to be critical. SMS banking never picked-up by the mass much due to absence of simple user experience and error prone due to manual entry. USSD based offline payments is not popular among the target segment due to quick timeouts, manual entry and missing quick click through experience.
Government across the globe has taken copious pre-emptive measures to explain, establish and encourage the use of Digital Payments in various sectors to establish a Cashless Economy. However, one of the major challenges the government and financial institutions are facing today is lack of internet infrastructure for providing access to the digital services. Despite well-intended initiatives of the state and central Government to develop the infrastructure, the active use of over half a billion feature phones by the rural population is the most challenging bottleneck.
With such challenges on the ground and we feel we have a long road to bridge this digital divide. Hence, to solve this challenge, we have built a revolutionary technology innovation “OffWallet” which will be the answer to this problem.
